Hello Sweetums

So it has been a big week here at Collective Three. We have finally gone live to the public and not without a few hiccups. Firstly Pay Pal is playing up so we can only offer Debit or Credit cards for payment, however this is being repaired. It’s taken me all week to figure out Mail Chimp, but I can confirm those who are registered to receive emails have now received your first one, as confirmation has been received from a friend.

So it’s all happening.

Now the weather here in Port Macquarie has turned, and is really only good for ducks. So after I finished the work I am paid to do, I switched sides on the table and began playing with the extra goodies I ordered for myself from Hello Sweetums. This company is Australian based from Sydney and she makes and designs her own products, and they are Oh So Sweet. Today I played around with the Honey Bee Stamp set that also has a coordinating die set, all available in store at www.collectivethree.com.au

I started with the Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed, blending until I thought they looked perfect. I then applied the Hello Sweetums stamps and backed the page with a black card stock, which is pretty much standard for my cards. Helps them to stand out from others.

The stamps were easy to peel off, easy to clean and great to work with. Angie from Hello Sweetums has a fantastic tutorial on YouTube for her range of products. - click on this link to watch her amazing talent. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXV04X0tfTfhQAOWE-4UyAw It’s so good to see this much talent from Australia.

I am awaiting the arrival of the Ranger Alcohol Inks in Pearl which should be soon on their way. Looking forward to playing with them when they arrive. If you would like to be kept up to date with our new products and their arrival, please jump onto our website and sign up.

Keep crafting.

The Dream is now a Reality

So, my dreams are slowly turning into a reality. This time next week Collective Three will be live to the world and products from Ranger, Hello Sweetums, Uniquely Creative and Kaisercraft will be available to purchase through my new online store. We are also looking to add more products in the coming weeks.

Quietly pooping myself, but excited at the same time. Every company I have dealt with has been noting but amazing. Ranger Ink in the USA were so very patient with me and my mind changes, then cancelling the order after they advised that yes we have a supplier in Australia. Win Win.

We are hoping to gather more products from America, however the postage alone is a killer. One company alone wanted to charge $178 USD for $100 USD worth or product, weighting in a 1 oz. Little over the top me thinks. So we are still working on a way to get the good stuff from the US over to Australia without costing an arm and a leg.

If you would like to see any other Australian companies on our site, drop us a line at collectivethree@outlook.com and we will do our best to get them in for you.

And just like that, the courier knocks at the door and hands over the Uniquely Creative box of goodies.

So its a short and sweet blog this week as I have so much to prepare for the launch of the extended website, loading stock onto excel spreadsheets, and also being a Mum and arranging a hockey tournament this weekend.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by - and happy crafting.

Wheels are in Motion

A great friend reminded me this morning:

Well this week I have faced fear in the eyes, glared her down and dived head first into my new adventure. Collective Three is now officially selling retails products to you, my friends family and followers. I am beyond excited.

I have a couple of Australian companies on board, because it’s how we roll in Australia. I would like to welcome Uniquely Creative and Hello Sweetums to our retail store. Goods will be arriving soon from these stores. I have approached a couple more Aussie suppliers. I will keep you updated when these goodies arrive.

From overseas we are very lucky to have Ranger Ink, Gina K, Avery Elle and Altenew on board. These products will naturally take a little longer to get here, however we will be trying to ensure we are up to date with what is ‘on trend’ all over the world.

Helping me out in the creative department, I have my great friend and fellow crafter Chloe Evans, also from Port Macquarie. Chloe introduced me to scrap booking, stamping and spending money many many years ago. She is one talented lady and I am honored that she has put her hand up to accept goodies and create with them in order to show you what you too can create.

So the plan is to have a shop front from home for locals who would like to pop in and say hello, select from the shelf and go home and create. Or you can purchase on line and the goods will be packed and sent by post within 48 hours of your payment being processed. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and slowly we are getting there.

If you would like to be notified when the goodies arrive, and what is coming and also what is on trend, please jump onto our website at Collective Three and sign up and I promise I will not send your information onto anyone else.

I’m off to wait for the postman to arrive!!!

Happy Stamping!

Amalgam Ink Coming Soon

A Whole New World

So I have been crafting and scrap booking for over 10 years and have pretty much just been plodding along and becoming content - a little too content. The change started when my over 30 friend had a birthday party, and it was only for us scrapping friends. The kind of birthday party I am going to have for my next one - a scrapping and Thai food day. Basically it consisted of the birthday girl, and five of her friends sitting around her craft table from 9 am to midnight. It was the best day, the day that changed my life (and credit card balance) forever. Introducing YouTube, Jennifer Maguire, Gina K, Lawn Fawn, Ranger Ink , Simon Says Stamps and Gerda Steiner Designs, just to name a few. OMG - my world was spinning. And don’t even get me started on the Tim Holtz Ranger Pearl Alcohol Inks that are unavailable everywhere in Australia. Yep, not one bottle anywhere.

Needless to say that day I didn’t get much crafting done, it was more videos, tutorials, scrolling and the using the money I had saved to ‘maybe purchase a few things’….. I said maybe. Now to wait for the postman. Yep, that’s right - all the good things are in America.

Yep, America!!! Everything I love is in America, Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper - America!! All of the good links mentioned above - yep you guessed it again America! I keep telling my husband we need to move to Waco Texas, have the Gaines Family bespoke a house for us and move on over to the good ole U.S of A. However I am pretty sure it isn’t going to happen. So what now?

So once a month my crafty friends and I put a massive order into Simon Says Stamp and incorporate all the goodies mentioned above (except for Chip and Joanna - still haven’t’ managed to figure out how to ship them here and keep them alive!) Now, I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate this business and import these goodies onto our shore so all of you can enjoy them as much as I do.

Now as I mentioned, this is all new to me, but I want to be able to share it with you. So for now it will be through my craft, until I can figure out a way. And our thinking caps are on and we have some wheels in motion. I so desperately would love to be able to access these products faster and easier than we can now. There is so much magic to be had, and I want to share the magic with you all. So if it means we create a shop site on our page dedicated to the above mentioned legends of the crafting world then so be it. I will give it my all.

So a big shout out to Chloe, thanks for having your birthday and showing me what I was missing out on. Until next time keep on stamping on!!

The Week Long Card

So I have been attempting to finish this card now for a week. In between receiving new stamps in the post, learning new skills on YouTube and playing with my Brother Scan and Cut (that is a whole other blog) this poor card has sat dormant for well over a week.

So I began with Kaisercraft Brickwall Clear stamp and stamped the design with Versamark and heat dried it. I then ran it through my laminating machine along with some rose gold foil. The sparkle it left is amazing and I would like to thank Jenny Maguire for her knowledge and YouTube tutorials.

I then pulled out the Whjimsy Bunnies clear stamp set from uniquely creative along with the Sweat Sentiment clears stamp set, also from uniquely creative.and used the Versaline black heat ink as I find it gives a much crisper stamp. I stamped the birthday sentiment three times and ran it through the Scan n Cut and the glued the three ‘birthday’ sentiments together to give it that thick off the page look. I also used Versamark again to heat imboss the word Happy on black card stock from Officeworks.

All up I am pretty impressed with how the card turned out. Although looking at the bunny again he could also be in a horror movie as his face looks just a little freaky. I finished it off with Kaisercraft Rhinestones in soft pink to hopefully reduce the scary of my colouring in using Blendables from Stampin Up!.

This card is now available in our store Collective Three with free delivery to the Port Macquarie area.

Happy Crafting
